I find most upscale Indian restaurants overhyped-- surprisingly I like Shosha! Good yummy food for fair value compared to what you get in Bay Area, I wud go back again, nice cute ambiance and good service.

Tried this restaurant for the first time and the food was amazing, every staff member was very polite and friendly (especially Alvwin). Must try Malai Paneer Tikka, Pindi Chholey, and Goat Bhuna Masala. We also ordered Shosha Hug for dessert and loved it. It was not overly sweet and very unique, never had anything like this before. Will definitely go back again to try other items in their menu. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Looking for an upscale Indian restaurant in Sunnyvale with delicious food and amazing drinks? Shosha is the place! Their cocktails are incredible. The Calcutta Paan Old Fashioned truly has an aftertaste just like paan, and the Papaya Mule is a fantastic twist on a classic Moscow Mule. While the menu changes monthly, the chicken curries are always a winner. Pro tip: If you're celebrating a birthday, bring your own dessert (or order theirs - the Rasmisu is delicious) and let them know. They'll make it extra special with party lights, music, and a sparkler! This really added a fun touch to our celebration.

Came here on a rainy Friday night to try their food. The drinks were very good! I appreciated the Indian twist that they put on classic cocktails both the paan infused smoky old fashioned and the papaya mule were both excellent. For the apps we went with the Dilli papdi chaat and the Tangela style chili paneer. The chaat was pretty tasty and came with pomegranate on top which was a nice touch and the paneer came out hot and crispy on the outside and soft on the inside with a classic tomato based gravy that was a little ketchup-y almost but tasty nonetheless. Finally for the mains we ordered the spinach corn/paneer, kadhai chicken, jackfruit biryani, and naan/roti. Pretty full spread overall. The creamed spinach was a little interesting and honestly didn't really resemble any Indian food I've eaten and the staff was nice enough to add paneer in as we realized after it was corn OR paneer not both. The kadhai chicken again was pretty standard, nothing super impressive but filling and the garlic naan could've been a little more garlicky. The jackfruit biryani was a little disappointing to be honest. The jackfruit itself was fine but the rice portion of the biryani didn't feel like a biryani almost colored rice and I felt it was not very flavorful and lacking in spices. Definitely on the more expensive side as they are going for a more upscale Indian but I feel like the fusion attempts on the menu makes the food seem to lose a little bit of authenticity. Overall a 3.5/5

We were here on a Friday night to celebrate a girls night out. We walked in and greeted very professionally by our waiter. The waiter was very humble give us ideas on what to order and definitely listen to us and taking pictures. The items we order I have photographed them. They were all definitely a hit. The best part was the customer service and even the chef came out to greet us. We will definitely be back for more girls night in.

I had the awesome experience of trying out Shosha's new Lazy Brunch Buffet - which folks can try out from April 20th! Now I have to say this experience was awesome. Shoshas ambiance feels classy and upscale with amazing service to make the experience even better! What is the cherry on the top is how amazing the food was. These are some of the items I got to try: *Nafraton ka Sharbat - this was a malai flavored drink, super creamy and absolutely fresh! *Aloo tikki - one of my favorites, this is crispy and soft potatoes with delicious sauce. Talk about a burst of flavor! *rice cake pepper chicken - this was a crispy rice dish with soft chicken on top. I really liked this with the different flavors and textures - one of my favorites *chicken shawarma bao - the chicken was well seasoned, and if you like baos this you'll enjoy *vada pav Kataafi - this was one of my favorites - if you like potato and lots of crunch, this one's for you! *makai malai dimsum - for rice lovers, this is a unique dish with rice on the outside with a veggie cheesy stuffing on the inside *butter chicken pinwheel - crispy, flakey deliciousness with everyone's fave butter chicken. Don't miss this one! *palak paneer baklava - think the pinwheel but paneer version, this was also quite flavorful I also got to try a variety of dishes that came with assortment of breads like chole bhature (delicious garbanzo beans curry) and a potato curry as well as a lentil curry as well! They were all flavorful and went well with the variety of breads they had which were warm and ready to munch on! There was also a live omelet station which was awesome for the egg lovers. We also got to try idly vada with sambar and chutneys which was amazing. To end the meal we had the following desserts: *mango & banana liquor firni - delicious, creamy and refreshing *shahi gulab malai roll - my favorite since I love rose flavored anything! Definitely try this We also got to try a few of the cocktails - the fig sour, Calcutta paan old fashioned & punch Puran. The punch Puran was my favorite! It had the perfect tang and was delicious! Would highly recommend one to check out Shosha!!
